Mission Statement
Mission Statement:
Since the atrocities of October 7th, antisemitism in our country and around the
world has spiraled out of control, and Jewish people everywhere are being
discriminated against and attacked. Although the United States is one of the
largest homelands for Jewish people, our way of life here is being threatened by
this rising antisemitism, misinformation, and Jihadist ideology infecting our
college campuses. The Jewish population in the United States has never been
more vulnerable or afraid for the future.
Our mission at JDN is to promote the normalization of Jewish people learning
self-defense and having the confidence to legally and effectively defend
themselves and their communities.
We want the concept of defending oneself to be inclusive and appealing to all
Jewish people -- Jewish people of every age, color and physical ability.
Every Jew should have access to educational resources to keep them safe, such
as firearms education, martial arts training, and teams of qualified Jews keeping
Jewish neighborhoods protected.
Recent events have proven that no one is coming to save us, and we must save
ourselves.
Jewish Defense Network Objectives:
● Jewish defense begins with a three-prong approach: physical, First Aid
and legal.
o Physical: Building partnerships with existing Jewish self-defense
resources such as Krav Maga and other practical and effective
martial arts systems, Jewish shooting groups, Jewish gun stores, and
first aid instructors is imperative in these times. Every Jewish
person needs to know how to defend him or herself.
o First Aid: Teach Jews throughout the country how to render,
and teach first aid if the were to ever find themselves in a crisis situation.
o Legal: A team of experienced and knowledgeable Jewish attorneys
is an important resource to keep the community on the “straight
and narrow” as to what acts are legally allowed and what acts are
not, as well as to step in to defend every Jew that finds him or
herself at odds with the law.
● Create state chapters of volunteer Jewish defense patrols that help
protect local Jewish institutions such as synagogues, Hebrew schools,
Jewish businesses, and neighborhoods.
● Create teams of regional Jewish Peacekeepers that can be rapidly
deployed to underserved areas requiring additional protection resources.
Example situations would be civil unrest and college campus protests.
● Leverage existing partnerships with Jewish defense resources (Krav Maga
schools, gun clubs, etc.) to act as community hubs for meeting places to
discuss security threats to the community, security improvement,
community training seminars, and how to improve the local Jewish
community.
● Create a network of Jewish and ally lawyers to defend JDN members if
they are involved in a self-defense incident or various other legal
representation issues. Use this same lawyer network to give seminars on
the legality of self-defense.
● Create a network of Jewish or ally therapists, counselors, and
psychologists to help Jewish people process traumatic incidents involving
self-defense, assault or simply the experience of being Jewish in America.
● Create fun, engaging, easily digested content that is inspirational and
educational. This includes videos, podcasts, social media posts, website
content, and other avenues of information dissemination to get Jewish
people to take self-defense seriously.
● Create a national program of standardization for Krav Maga and firearms
training and certification for Jews to become certified instructors and
expand into communities located outside of the major Jewish hotspots of
New York City and Los Angeles.
● Make certification and general training programs friendly and cost
effective to Jews from all walks of life.
● Hire private investigators to vet individuals who want to work with the
JDN, provide intelligence data on various threats and help with
counterintelligence.
● JDN Future Leaders Program: We believe that schools and college
campuses are Ground Zero for antisemitism in this country.
Jewish students need to have a plan for how to respond in the moment if
antisemitic incidents occur in their schools. This will include youth leaders
in schools that will be responsible for connecting with their Jewish peers
and building groups in each school. We will create codes of conduct and
an operating procedure of how the Jewish student body can react to
threats and incidents, unified as one. This will include excellent
communication, learning Krav Maga, learning self-awareness, learning
Jewish history and having the skill and knowledge to logically and
reasonably counter any arguments put forward by the antisemites, and
having a plan of action for when things go wrong. Proposed age range is
14-20.
● These same young adults will naturally transition into JDN administration
and leadership roles to help future generations, and take on leadership
positions as current JDN leaders age out of the organization.
● Promote the concept of Jewish charity staying within Jewish communities.
For too long, Jews have donated to causes such as LGBTQ rights, the Red
Cross, Amnesty International, women’s groups, colleges, etc.
When October 7th happened, virtually none of these groups helped
Jewish people or spoke up for us; they turned their backs on us and
abandoned us. It’s time to keep Jewish money within Jewish communities
and focus on unification and strengthening our communities, our people,
and our self-defense. Imagine what could be accomplished if we only
focused on our own causes and those of Israel.
● Promote future generations of Jewish young adults to get into politics.
If we don’t start getting into influential positions of power, America could
be overrun by Hamas sympathizers in power who go on to pass laws that
are antisemitic and remove protections for Jewish people in this country,
pulling back US support for Israel. The only way to prevent this is more
Jews in Government.
● Realizing that we cannot do everything by ourselves, form partnerships
with Christian and American patriot organizations and groups such as the
Guardian Angels to work together to protect Jewish people and American
values.
